Terra means land, but also earth.

If you are looking for real wool this is the right one. At 23 microns, it is good for your outer clothes without being scratchy at all. Being non superwash makes it keep all the best attributes of wool. And the best of all… it is local!

In short:

  • 100 gr skeins
  • Weight: fingering
  • Metreage: 400 m
  • Composition: 100% spanish merino
  • Spun in 3 plies
  • Needles: between 3,5 and 5 mm, but please make a swatch to see which fabric you like best
  • Non superwash
  • Mulesing free
  • Origin: custom spun at a local mill

Colors change in each lot, and sometimes even in each skein. If you want to avoid problems you should combine skeins as you knit. Oh, and try to buy all the skeins you need for your project in one order, the differences between dyeing lots are usually evident.

Every monitor shows colors in a slightly different way, and even though I take a lot of care when I edit the photos, what you see on screen will never be exactly what you see in the real skein. Also, the photos you see on the page are usually not of the same skeins that I am going to send you, although discreet, there are always some variations.

Lava la pieza terminada con cuidado a mano y en agua fría (NO TIBIA!!!), y con el mismo champú que usas para tu pelo. No necesitas usar vinagre.

If you want to know a little bit more about washing your woolens see this post.

A menos que se indique el contrario, los precios son por madeja.

I ship orders once a week, usually on wednesdays. If you placed an order of yarn ready to ship it will leave my workshop on the next shipping day. If you chose a dyed to order yarn I will have to dye it and will ship in two-four weeks time. If you have both kind of yarns I’ll ship the order when I have dyed the dyed to order skeins.

In the photo of each product you'll see a label that indicates if the skeins are in stock or if they are going to be dyed to order. On the store page you have a button to filter only the yarns that are ready to ship. If a color is available, on the product page below the price you can see the how many are in stock. If you need more than what is in stock, I will treat them as if they were made to order, so that you receive all the skeins of the same dye lot.

When your yarn is ready to ship you’ll receive a confirmation email.

Once your parcel leaves my door it usually takes from one to three days (usually no more than two) if you live in Spain, Portugal or Andorra. International shipping times and shipping to the islands are harder to predict, but usually don’t take more than one week.

If you have any doubt or are in a hurry do not hesitate to contact me before placing the order.
